We are looking for an experienced ecologist to conduct a UKHab survey and BNG Condition Assessment along a targeted section of the recently opened Coast to Coast Path National Trail.

One of three pilots, this is an exciting step for National Trails UK in testing their recently published "Guide to Habitat Baselining National Trail Corridors for Informed Habitat Action Plans". Outcomes of this work will support the broader 'Coast to Coast Nature Trail' project, which recently received funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

We are inviting quotes from ecology surveying specialists and have created a detailed Request for Quote document for those interested in the work, which you can find at the bottom of this page.

We have a budget of up to £10,000 inc VAT for this work. If you are interested in providing a quote, please send a document outlining your response to the brief by 9am Monday 22nd June 2026 to hannah@nationaltrails.uk
